2007 Plate Shoots

Do you want to have fun shooting your pistols with a friendly group of shooters? Then come to the falling plate shoot Matches Sundays at noon. We alternate between center-fire and rim-fire. If you have a semi-auto you will need 2 magazines. If you have a revolver you will need 2 speed loaders. You will also need about 125 rounds of ammo. Eye and ear protection is required, and the cost is $5.00

This is a friendly match which encompasses every skill level. There is no need to be shy. This is a great way to meet new people and to improve your skills. You will also be helping your club financially through your participation. For further information contact Joe Piatek at 207-571-9426

My appologies. Apparently the video i hosted on youtube linked to other videos not related to Stickney lodge. I have taken down the video until I can figure out a way to post the movie here. In the meantime, please Right click here to download the video

RANGE SAFETY

SAFETY AT THE RANGE IS EVERYBODY'S RESPONSIBILITY. IF YOU SEE SOMEONE ACTING IN AN UNSAFE MANNER DON'T BE AFRAID TO SPEAK UP . REMEMBER YOUR SAFETY IS AT STAKE!!!

LET'S GO OVER SOME SIMPLE SAFETY RULES:

  1. NOBODY GOES FORWARD OF THE FIRING LINE UNTIL THE RANGE IS SAFE. THE RANGE IS SAFE ONLY WHEN NOBODY THAT MEANS NOBODY IS HANDLING ANY GUNS.
  2. THE ACTIONS OF ALL GUNS WILL BE OPEN AND GUNS WILL BE UNLOADED.

YOU WOULD THINK THAT THE ABOVE RULES WOULD BE FAIRLY OBVIOUS BUT ONE INDIVIDUAL HAD A LIVE ROUND IN THE CHAMBER AND SAID IT WAS OK BECAUSE THE SAFETY WAS ON. ON OTHER OCCASIONS PEOPLE WERE OBSERVED HANDLING THEIR GUNS WHILE OTHER PEOPLE WERE DOWNRANGE. THIS IS UNSATISFACTORY. LET'S THINK SAFETY!!!!!

DON'T FORGET TO WEAR YOUR EYE AND EAR PROTECTION.
